The Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose (SOSR) traces its origins to a shared vision of creating a distinguished sisterhood where women could unite in friendship, leadership, personal growth, and charitable service while preserving the timeless values of honor, virtue, and fraternity.
The Beginning
In 2024, a group of visionary women established the Royal Order of the Blue Rose, a fraternal organization founded upon the principles of dignity, loyalty, wisdom, and mutual support. The Blue Rose was chosen as its emblem because it symbolized rarity, aspiration, and the pursuit of excellence. The Order sought to inspire women to become exemplary leaders within their families, professions, communities, and organizations.
As the Royal Order of the Blue Rose flourished, another movement emerged.
In 2025, the Ancient Order of Lady Free Gardeners was organized to provide women with a unique fraternal experience inspired by the traditions and symbolism of the Free Gardeners. Drawing upon the ideals of cultivating both gardens and character, the Order emphasized personal development, education, charity, moral virtue, and service to humanity. It encouraged its members to nurture themselves and others through compassion, wisdom, and benevolence.
Although each organization possessed its own identity, traditions, and symbolism, both shared a common mission: to empower women through sisterhood, ethical leadership, lifelong learning, charitable works, and meaningful fellowship.
The Union of Two Traditions
Recognizing their common values and aspirations, the leadership of both organizations entered into discussions during 2026 regarding the possibility of creating a stronger, unified institution. They envisioned an Order that would preserve the finest traditions of each while establishing a distinct identity capable of inspiring future generations of women.
This historic collaboration culminated in the merger of the Royal Order of the Blue Rose and the Ancient Order of Lady Free Gardeners in 2026, giving birth to the Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose (SOSR).
The name "Scarlet Rose" was carefully chosen to symbolize the union of two noble traditions.
The Rose has long represented beauty, virtue, growth, and the unfolding of one's highest potential. The Scarlet color signifies courage, compassion, sacrifice, love, strength, and unwavering commitment to service. Together, the Scarlet Rose became a lasting emblem of women united in purpose, honor, and sisterhood.
A New Sisterhood
The Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose was established as an exclusive women's fraternal, benevolent, educational, charitable, and leadership organization committed to the development of women of integrity and excellence.
Its mission is to cultivate:
Virtue through honorable living;
Wisdom through education and lifelong learning;
Leadership through service and example;
Fellowship through genuine sisterhood;
Charity through compassion and benevolence; and
Service through meaningful contributions to society.
More than a fraternal organization, SOSR aspires to become a lifelong home where women encourage one another to grow intellectually, morally, spiritually, and socially.
The Motto
The Order adopted the Latin motto:
Sub Rosae Luce, Inter Sorores
which may be translated as:
"Beneath the Light of the Rose, Among Sisters."
The motto expresses the belief that every sister blossoms under the light of knowledge, virtue, and truth while walking beside fellow sisters in unity, trust, and mutual respect.

Although officially established in 2026, the Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose proudly preserves the heritage of its founding bodies:
Royal Order of the Blue Rose — Founded 2024
Ancient Order of Lady Free Gardeners — Founded 2025
Merged as the Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose — 2026
The Sacred Order of the Scarlet Rose stands today as a living testament to the power of unity. By bringing together the ideals of the Blue Rose and the traditions of the Lady Free Gardeners, the Order continues to cultivate women of character, inspire servant leaders, strengthen the bonds of sisterhood, and extend compassion through charitable service.
